If anyone elses Kindle just lock read in the sun?

I was with my Kindle on the beach in Tampa and just block forever. I was not anywhere near the water, but I’m not sure if the humidity or the heat stored screw something up. I have the money so you can actually take out books months to be with me directly to my house on the beach and surfing, not this garbage.
