The smell of leather when you open it reminds me of the expensive leather-bound books of yore. I feel fancy carrying my kindle in this cover. I put the THIN velcro stick-on pads (wal-mart) on the back to double-secure my kindle. It’s worked great! I’ve owned it 2 mos. No problems at all. The cover fits securely on the little hooks of the elliptical and treadmill at the gym. Now I excercise longer!

I’m considering buying this but need to know if it has any prongs that jut into the Kindle the way the official Amazon one did which cracked my kindle in two places. I’ve just received a replacement and don’t want to crack this one as well.

This is a perfect cover if you like to take your Kindle with you. You can stuff it in the seat back pocket on an airplane, drop it in your carryon and not worry about it getting damaged. It does add some bulk and some weight but the stiffness of both the back and front of the cover gives me a great deal of confidence that my kindle is protected. I also like the fact that I can fold the front cover all the way around the back so that it’s not flapping around when I’m reading.

The M-Edge GO! Jacket has been a fine fitting cover for the Kindle 2. It softens with time and makes holding the otherwise slippery Kindle feel more secure in my hands. The only thing it lacks is some kind of clasp to keep it closed when I’m done reading. I use a rubber band which works quite well.

I bought this cover after reading reviews on all the Kindle covers and wasn’t disappointed. I can only agree with the other reviewers it is a sturdy cover and the right edge straps hold the Kindle more securely, avoiding stress to the central hinge. The leather is supple and easily folds back, when reading, the cover is also designed to incorporate the reading light. I didn’t purchase mine from Amazon as the cost was too prohibitive with import taxes and shipping i. e around US $53, UK £33. I managed to find one available in the UK for £23. 94 inclusive of shipping, so it is advisable to search online for a UK supplier.
