I’ve been getting lots of emails with the same question: “where to buy Kindle Fire in Canada?”  ”can you buy a Kindle Fire in a canadian store?”… so let me give you a quick answer: you can’t. Don’t pay attention to some crappy websites out there  that say you can get a Kindle Fire in Canada, they are just schmucks trying to make a quick buck with false claims.

“OK, so I will try the good old trick of buying my Kindle Fire in the US and then drive back home and use here in Canada” you might think, but unfortunatelly that is not so easy: even if Canadians smuggle one over the border, there’s the problem of content.  A Kindle Fire taken abroad would only work with the Amazon services available in that country. In Canada, where only Kindle books are available, the Fire’s value would be significantly reduced. You won’t have access to instant streaming or the MP3 store, since the Canadian licensing costs are far above those found in the U.S.

So, to sum it up,  The Kindle Fire delivers Amazon content such as Instant Video and Amazon’s free cloud storage but that’s not available for people in Canada, which makes the sale of the Kindle Fire here a bit doubtful. Sorry folks

The long wait is over.  The Kindle 3 book reader is now available in Canada. If you live in Canada all you have to do is visit this link and you will be taken to the official  Kindle  page.

The Kindle  Canada does not come with a cover, I strongly suggest you get one since it is an expensive electronic gadget and can get damaged if dropped.
